Pink Saturday - September 10

I hope you don't mind my doing a repeat this week.

Where were you September 11, 2001?

I think everyone remembers exactly what they were doing that morning when they heard THE news. I had just shut off my hairdryer when I heard on the radio that a plane had hit the first tower. I quickly turned on CNN just in time to see the second plane coming in. I sat there thinking "What is that pilot thinking?" And then couldn't believe what I saw.

Later on I went outside to sit on my patio. I remember thinking how quiet it was. No traffic noise. No planes in the sky - where I live we see jets starting to descend for landing at the Buffalo Airport. The sun was shining, the sky was a beautiful blue with white fluffy clouds. And it was so quiet. It seemed so surreal.

September 11, 2001 - the day that changed the world.

Canada and the United States share the world's longest continuous border. We could "jump the ditch" without needing a passport. Not anymore. Now we need passports and security passes.

I pray that there is never another "September 11th".

I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony.

Thank you to Beverly from How Sweet the Sound" for hosting Pink Saturdays.

Please take a minute to say a prayer for those who died, those who responded and now are sick, for their families and yes, even for the people who did this. And a prayer that something like this never happens again, anywhere.

Thank you for visiting. Have a great week.
